June, highlights are the Mohnton Lions Club Car Show and the National Hot Rod Reunion. Now, you may be asking where the heck is the Mohnton car show? Well, it’s a few miles from Maple Grove held in a great park with lots of things for the family, and this year Bruce Larson has graciously accepted our invitation to be Grand Marshall of the event. As a bonus, he’s bringing the USA-1 Camaro to make some noise. Try and make it if you can. July features the York US30 Reunion in York, and Nostalgia Drags the next day at Beaver Springs. The Right Coast Association’s, Syracuse Nationals is next. In past years, August has been fairly empty as far as shows we go to, but not this year. E-town's Nostalgia Drags and Funny Car Reunion have been moved from their usual date in late July to the 10th of August. The month winds down with our first appearance at Lead East. We'll see how it goes. So far September only has one event, but it has the potential to be our biggest of the year. We’re going back to Norwalk for the Blue Suede Cruise which is now presented by Goodguys. The racing is back this year and Norwalk is the nicest track I've ever been to, so we’re hopeful for a good showing. October, October, October. Can anybody think of an event to go to that has nostalgia drags, hot rods and good weather in October? It's preliminary, but we're doing everything we can to invade the left coast and the California Hot Rod Reunion. Beg, borrow and/or steal we're going to try and be there. More Designs. We have added two new designs to start this year and have more ready to go as the year progresses. The first new design features a fictitious magazine cover and the other is a very cool, women’s only shirt. We have also decided to discontinue some of our designs. All of the Hot Rod shirts, both red and gray will not be printed once supplies run out. The blue and white Rat Rod shirt will also be discontinued, but the black shirt will continue to be printed. Our short and long-sleeve white Competion Coupe will no longer be reprinted, but our top-selling brown shirt version isn't going anywhere. Get em while you can. We are also going to throw our hats into the hat ring again. We're going to have three different styles of hats in various colors that you can customize with our new hat patches. Initially we’re going to have the Mask and the Jester ready to put on whatever style/color hat you want. As the season progresses, we plan on having more patches made. The patches will also be available to purchase as stand alone items. Visit our hat section for pricing and more information. Surprises. We have inked a deal with Summit Racing's Hot Rod Hardware catalog to carry a few of our designs. This will be the only place outside of Snooky's where you'll be able to purchase our unique products. Click on the banner below to check us out. This is a big opportunity for our little company to break into the big time, and we’re excited to be affiliated with a top-notch company like Summit. Mom Snooky has also taken delivery of a custom embroidery machine, and she'll be making some cool one-off custom creations throughout the year. We're thinking of embroidering names on our blank name patches, kid's onesies and t-shirts, and custom embroidered work jackets. This will allow us to try out designs on a very short run basis to check the viability of a larger run. So there will be some very limited edition products floating around this year, so check back often. Snooky himself bought the graphics department a laptop this year so it’ll be easier and more fun to keep the sight updated. As you can see, this is a very ambitious year for us, we hope to see you soon. Scott |
